Meet Desmond Watson.
The mammoth defensive tackle out of the University of Florida.
Watson weighed in at a whopping 464 pounds at his pro day.
At that weight, Watson would instantly become the heaviest player in NFL history if he is drafted.
The heaviest player to ever record a snap in the NFL was Aaron Gibson, an offensive lineman who played for the Chicago Bears.
He was 410 pounds.
Watson has nearly 60 more pounds on Gibson.
For more context, Watson has 117 more pounds on him than Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s monster nose tackle, Vita Vea.
Surely, Watson would have to lose a lot of his current weight to be seen as an integral piece in any defensive line rotation at the professional level, but don’t be fooled by the 464.
He can move.
The big man out of Florida is currently projected to be a late round pick, but helped raise his draft stock with his performance in Gainesville.
Watson put up 36 reps of 225 on the bench press, which would have been an NFL combine record.
He gracefully dazzled to a 5.93 40-yard dash, and recorded a 25-inch vertical jump.
Again, he is 464 pounds and stands at 6-foot-6.
They don’t make them like Watson.
“He’s a juggernaut,” commented one fan on social media.
In four years at Florida, Watson recorded 63 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass defended.
But don’t be fooled, Watson isn’t just a one-trick pony.

He also recorded one carry for a yard — and a first down — while taking a handoff out of the backfield during the team’s bowl game in 2024 against Tulane.
A man with a multifaceted skill set.
Florida head coach Billy Napier spoke about Watson at the pro day.
“That number’s always going to be pretty big,” Napier said.
“He’s a unicorn.
“You’ll go the rest of your career and you’ll never be around a guy that’s that stature.”
One of Watson’s teammates, fellow defensive lineman Joey Slackman, also chimed in Watson’s performance.
“He did awesome,” Slackman said.
“I mean, I knew he was gonna go for a crazy number.
“Obviously he’s a huge dude, but he was locked in from the start, so I knew he was going to get 30-, 35-plus (on the bench).
“We talked about it beforehand, and he was ready to roll.”
If Watson gets drafted, he would become the first player in NFL history to be drafted with a listed weight over 400 pounds.
If he makes it to the league, which is likely, good luck trying to block and move this tank of man.
