Jake Paul was fearful he could lose out on the Mike Tyson fight after agreeing to face late replacement Mike Perry.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul was set to face Tyson last July, but the fight was rescheduled to November after the heavyweight legend pulled out due to a stomach ulcer.

Luckily he went on to beat ‘Iron Mike’ in November, but had initially been left in real jeopardy after the news broke.
Paul was left concerned as to his future and new footage of his distraught reaction to Tyson’s withdrawal has emerged in the teaser for his reality TV series Paul American.
He said with a sigh: “Holy f*** Mike can’t fight.”
‘El Gallo’ looked distraught but the footage cut to him back in training camp.
And it captured his discussion of the decision to fight former UFC fighter and bare-knuckle boxer Perry on short notice.
Ultimately he believed that it was a risk of a potential fight worth $60million, given the potential of losing to a talented combat operator in ‘Platinum’.
He added: “I’ve been in training camp, the date is booked, let’s see who is crazy enough to fight me on seven weeks’ notice.
“I’m taking a $60m risk, it literally has to pay off.”
Luckily for Paul it didn’t backfire as he stopped Perry in brutal fashion to maintain his course to face Tyson.
And despite health issues, the American legend did step in the ring five months later.

He fought and beat Tyson in a record-breaking and historic event in front of over 60 million viewers on streaming service Netflix.
It saw both Paul and Tyson pocket $20 million apiece, with the event viewed as a huge success.
The huge fortune he had generated even allowed him to pay for a private jet, which he acquired after the victory.
After his big win, Paul has attempted to begin luring a whole host of other boxing superstars into the ring.
He was initially set to face Canelo Alvarez, but the Mexican ended his interest to sign an agreement which includes a showdown with Terence Crawford.
This week Paul incredibly called out Anthony Joshua, who has responded and claimed he is now open to seal the commercial blockbuster.

And Paul has named both on his options as part of a hit list in the sport.
He told the New York Post: “There’s a lot of names.
“I think Gervonta [Davis], Canelo, Tommy Fury, KSI, I want Anthony Joshua.
“The list goes on and on and on and then my main goal is to become world champion and we’ll see who that is and what point in time I make that happen.”
