8th Entebbe Corporate League to front “Eco-system restoration”

The 8th edition of the Entebbe Corporate League will take center stage on the 30th November and climax on 1st December 2024 at Lake Victoria Primary School playground in Entebbe Division A.

This league will have four different sports disciplines with football, netball, volleyball and the enticing tug-of-war.

Football is played on a six-aside format with at least a female player per side.

The theme of Entebbe Corporate League this year is “Ecosystem Restoration” with a vigorous tree planting session at Lake Victoria Primary school which recently celebrated 100 years since inception.

“We shall carry out a tree planting sessions at Lake Victoria Primary School before the games begin to teach the younger generation the importance of environmental conservation. The Entebbe Corporate League has decided to focus on promoting environmental conservation through schools.” Ronald Onzima, the main organizer states.

To support this cause, management of Entebbe Corporate League has partnered with Roofings Group Limited as their sustainability partner providing a never ending supply of tree seedlings.

They have also partnered with Jibu water as the official hydration partner and Next Media through NBS Sport and Sanyuka as the main media partners.

Entebbe Corporate League also has a standing working relation with Entebbe Journalists Association and Kampala Journalists Association to promote the Entebbe Corporate League’s intention to use sports to promote Ecosystem Restoration and climate action through several initiatives.

Last season, the Entebbe Corporate League engaged in a comprehensive cleaning drive around strategic places in Entebbe Municipality as Entebbe Police, Entebbe Central Market, Entebbe Main Hospital, Entebbe Children’s Park, Bus Park and along the main streets.

Some of the confirmed teams include Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA), Entebbe Police, The AIDS Support Organization (TASO) Entebbe, DAS Aviation School, Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC) and others.
