Tom Brady didn’t take too kindly to Baker Mayfield’s recent words.
Earlier this month, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback said that Brady made his Bucs teammates feel ‘stressed out’ during his time with the franchise — which resulted in a Super Bowl victory.

“The building was a little bit different with Tom in there,” Mayfield said.
“Obviously, playing-wise, Tom is different. He had everybody dialled in, high-strung environment, so I think everybody was pretty stressed out.
“They wanted me to come in, be myself, bring the joy back to football for guys who weren’t having as much fun.”
During Sunday’s Eagles-Bucs broadcast on Fox, Brady addressed Mayfield’s claim with a brutal response, giving a fascinating insight into the seven-time Super Bowl winner’s mindset.
“I thought stressful was not having Super Bowl rings,” Brady said while on the broadcast.
“This wasn’t daycare… If I was going to have fun, I was going to Disneyland with my kids. There’s a way to approach this game and it’s with the right mindset to push teammates.”
Fans were loving Brady’s barbed reply and for coming out swinging in regard’s to Mayfield’s comments.
“Tom Brady just cooked Baker harder than he used to cook the AFC East,” one person posted.
“Cooked,” wrote another.
“Brady the savage is back,” added another.

Brady even acknowledged that Mayfield’s comments had fired him up.
“It’s still in there,” he said. “There’s no apologies!”
New England Patriots legend Brady joined the Bucs prior to the 2020 season with one aim: winning the franchise its second Lombardi Trophy.
That he did, beating Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 in Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium.
Brady had 14,643 passing yards and 108 touchdown passes during his time in Tampa Bay and helped instil the kind of winning culture and mindset the franchise had been sorely lacking.
His win-at-all costs attitude brought success to the organization but seemingly irked several people on the team.
Mayfield is yet to replicate what TB12 did in Tampa Bay but did help the team to a division title last season.
He has started the 2024 season as one of the league’s best quarterbacks and has the team at 2-1.
The former Browns, Panthers and Rams QB spoke about stepping into Brady’s shoes prior to his Bucs debut last year.
“I’m excited about it,” he said.
“Those are big shoes to fill, but I’m just going to try and wear my own. He’s the greatest quarterback to ever play the game, and he deserves that recognition. I’m going to be myself, and Tom was himself.”
