Tuesday racing tips

AYR
1.40: Gracious Leader 13/8 (1pt)
2.50: Reyaadah Star 9/1 Each-way (1.5pts)
3.25: Jenni 10/3 (1pt)

NEWCASTLE
5.30: Sydney Seabreeze 5/2 (1pt)

Gracious Leader

This horse is the clear favourite despite being a bit more unexposed than the rest.

The Siyouni gelding trained by George Boughey was gelded in May and on return in a Class 6 handicap at Lingfield, won as the odds-on favourite.

Upped 8lb for that, he then went a decent enough 3rd of 11 though was also clear favourite for that race too.

Now with Tommie Jakes on board to claim 3lb he stands a much better chance at winning for the second time and does have the experience to boot now, while being given just enough weight as the youngster of the field.

Reyaadah Star

She went so close over course and distance a couple of weeks ago to Yorkshire Lady and now up against these horses, looks much better as a great each-way bet.

The three-year-old is always close up there at the finish with plenty of placings already and does have the value at 9/1 as a result.

Jenni

Many of these rivals have been in poorer form recently whereas Jenni has just started to show her ability, especially over this new distance which she has a record of 21 over.

To boot, she won over course and distance last time out and a 3lb rise looks manageable.

Abduction has dropped to a dangerous weight, clearly, as he’s a big favourite.

Running at an overall rating of 89 back in April of this year and now goes off 10lb lighter.

Dropping to a Class 4 for the second time this season didn’t quite produce the result though, as he finished 8th of 12, but still less than four lengths off the leader.

That said, it’s difficult to back with a succession of low placed finishes.

Sydney Seabreeze

This three-year-old colt has gone very well in his last two outings, since being upped in trip has gone closer than ever and seems to be thriving with each additional couple of furlongs.

Was 4th and 5th in the last two but only separated by over a length last time out when taking on 2m for the first time.

Is now down 4lb since that three length defeat at Southwell in August and looks capable of making the most of that drop by the handicapper.

He now wears cheekpieces and a hood in unison today which could also play a big part in a winning combination.

The clear step up in form over the longer distances coupled with a drop in the weights and the new headgear all point to a potentially nice winner at close to 5/2, value.
