Brentford v Wolves preview
Brentford prepare for visit of Wolves on Saturday afternoon looking to end their current run of three Premier League matches without a victory.
Thomas Frank’s side have enjoyed success in front of their home fans though, winning three of their four matches in west London in all competitions so far, with their 100% home record coming to an end last weekend in their 1-1 draw with West Ham in a London derby.
Having won two of their opening three Premier League games, the Bees have started to slowly slide down the table after their current winless streak, though it’s worth pointing out the only teams they’ve lost to so far this season are away games against Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham.
Brentford head into the weekend in 12th place in the league table having picked up seven points from their opening six matches, just two points off the top half of the table.
The west London side have been noted for the first start in recent weeks, scoring within the first 60 seconds in each of their last three league games, though haven’t been able to keep their leads and have ended up collecting just one point from the games in question.

Wolves make the trip to the capital city on Saturday afternoon as club bottom of the Premier League table, having picked up only one point from their opening six matches of the new league campaign with the worst goal difference in the division.
Gary O’Neil’s side haven’t been helped by the fixture scheduling, with five of their six opponents so far having finished in the top six of the Premier League last season, with their sole point of the campaign being won against a Nottingham Forest side who finished 17th last time out.
Brentford will come as a nice change from their previous opponents who have also been competing in Europe, but will still have their work out against a team with a strong record on their home patch.
The West Midlands side will be looking to shake off a run of four consecutive defeats ahead of Saturday’s clash, and can take confidence in the knowledge they’re unbeaten in their last six away games against the Bees.
The two sides’ most recent meeting did end in defeat for Wolves back in February last season though, with the Bees coming out on top a 2-0 win at Molineux.
Brentford v Wolves betting tips
VBet are offering odds of 15/2 on a tempting looking bet builder which sees Brentford to win, Bryan Mbeumo to score and Rayan Ait-Nouri to be carded.
Mbeumo’s five goals in six league appearances so far this season makes him the Premier League’s third highest goal scorer, while only five people in the division have been on the receiving end of more yellow cards than Wolves’ Algerian full back.
