Nice vs PSG predictions
The hosts suffered a huge setback on Thursday when they lost 4-1 away to Lazio on Matchday 2 of the Europa League.
In the grand scheme of the Europa League it’s not a disaster, yet!
The French side are 30th in the table with just one point from two matches. There is still plenty of time for head coach Franck Haise to get his team into a playoff spot at the very least.
But the latest setback means Nice are now three matches without a win. And they also have just one win in their last five outings.
In Ligue 1, Haise’s team sit 9th with 8 points from six matches. Les Aiglons has won two, drawn two and lost two in what is already becoming an inconsistent season.
Furthermore, Nice has scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 this season and conceded six. Their excellent scoring record is mainly down to an 8-0 win over second-bottom St-Etienne on September 20th.
The thrashing was Nice’s only win in their last five outings.
One huge positive for Frank Haise is that his team has only played twice at home in Ligue 1 this season. As well as the 8-0 win over St-Etienne, they also drew 1-1 with Toulouse.
Only when the games even out will we start to get a better idea of which direction this season is heading in for the team that finished fifth last term with 55 points from 34 matches.
As for PSG, they’ve made a steady start to life after Kylian Mbappe.
With no superstars left to get to grips with, PSG boss Luis Enrique has led his side to the top of the table with 16 points from six matches.
With five wins and a draw, PSG has an identical record to Monaco, but sit top of the table thanks to a superior goal difference.
The one match the Parisians dropped points in was away to Reims on September 21, where they were held to a 1-1 draw.
On that occasion, Ousmane Dembele rescued PSG with a 68th minute equaliser.
Dembele has since been dropped from the squad that played Arsenal in the Champions League in London on Tuesday. French media reported he had a falling out with manager Enrique after last weekend’s 3-1 over Rennes, Paris Saint-Germain’s most recent league win.
Whilst not confirming or denying a falling out, Enrique made it clear that Dembele’s absence from the squad was down to the player failing to “comply or respect the expectations of the team”.
It was hardly a ringing endorsement.
It is not yet clear whether the lightning quick striker will be in the PSG squad to face Nice.
Although, it has been reported that Dembele has apologised to Enrique, so he may well be recalled if this is true.
If Dembele is missing, he will be a big loss. He has scored four goals in the league for his club this season.
Fortunately, Luis Enrique has the in-from Bradley Barcola to call upon. Already this season the 22-year-old wide man has six goals in his six league appearance for the team.
Barcola is fast emerging as the next superstar of French football. And if he keeps scoring at this rate, the loss of Mbappe will be soon forgotten.

Nice vs PSG betting tips
At 4/1, Nice could be a good bet to defeat PSG if the team has been unsettled by the recent issues surrounding Dembele.
On the flip side, if all is now okay in the PSG camp, they are 4/6 get back to winning ways after their 2-0 midweek Champions League loss to Arsenal.
Either way, we have named some alternative betting tips for you to follow:
Nice and draw in double chance
Nice are unbeaten at home this season in all competitions.
That’s just three games. Two in Ligue 1 that we’ve already mentioned and a 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad in the Europa League.

Nevertheless, an unbeaten record is just that. And with all the ongoing games behind the scenes at PSG, along with their defeat to Arsenal in the Champions League, this could be the ideal time for Franck Haise’s team to cash in.
In all competitions this season, PSG has played four times on the road, winning two, drawing one and losing one. It’s not a given they just turn up and win away from home.

Both teams to score
PSG has only kept two clean sheets in their opening eight matches in all competitions this season.
Defending isn’t their strength. Attacking is. And with Nice finding the net in six of their eight matches in all competitions this season, don’t be shocked to see both sides on the scoresheet on Sunday.
Furthermore, hosts Nice has scored 14 Ligue 1 goals this season. Only Marseille with 15 goals, and PSG with 20 have scored more. Goals at both ends looks to be very likely at the Allianz Riviera on Sunday night.
Choose both teams to score at 7/10 with VBET
Bradley Barcola to score anytime
PSG fans still trying to get over the loss of Kylian Mbappe can console themselves with the form of Bradley Barcola.
The former Lyon winger is now into his second season with PSG and after a quiet first campaign has really come to the forefront this term.
In the 2023/24 campaign, Barcola only managed four goals in 25 Ligue 1 matches, and five goals in 39 appearances in all competitions.
Already this season he has bettered that record. The €45 million signing has scored six in six in Ligue 1. He is yet to open his account in the Champions League. But that will come in time.
Don’t be shocked if he finds the back of the net again on Sunday. Especially if Dembele is still unavailable for selection.
