Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are not married — yet.

According to available public information, that is a fact surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and international pop music superstar.

But Swift returned to the action on “Monday Night Football,” as the Kansas City Chiefs returned to Super Bowl form with an impressive 26-13 takedown of the New Orleans Saints at rocking Arrowhead Stadium.

With Swift drawing major attention in a suite — even her stadium walk-in and national TV outfit received heavy media coverage — it was inevitable that one of the biggest names in the world would be discussed on ESPN.

Bill Belichick had fun with the Swifties, joking about Kelce’s second consecutive strong outing, which saw the Pro Bowler catch a game-high nine passes for 70 yards.

“Big first half for Kelce. Too big,” said Belichick, as a smiling Swift was shown on the ManningCast broadcast with Peyton and Eli Manning.

But the real Tay Tay drama occurred in the main booth.

As Kelce pulled down another catch, Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman caught a glimpse of Swift on the screen.

“The missus likes it,” Aikman said.

That was a big mistake.

Swift and Kelce aren’t married, which means that Swift officially isn’t Kelce’s “missus” yet.

The blowback was immediate, and ESPN was forced to cover up the fumble.

“You know they’re not married, right?” announcer Joe Buck said.

Buck then appeared to make a reference to Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks before fully correcting his booth partner.

“Oh, I know,” Aikman said. “I’m sure I’m in trouble for saying that.”

Aikman definitely was on social media.

“Dear Troy Aikman, DO NOT call Taylor Swift ‘The Mrs,’ one fan tweeted. “It’s demeaning. Even if she WAS his wife. She’s Taylor Alison Swift – global superstar.”

“You just lost ALL credibility w women,” a second fan posted. “Whether you meant it or not, it was a chauvinistic, disgusting statement.”

“She’s bigger than you could ever dream to be, cowboy,” a third fan wrote.

While some fans enjoyed the live TV mistake, Buck let the world know that it was serious business, especially to Swifties.

“It happens,” Buck said. “My daughters have warned me multiple times today. ‘Dad, I know you think you’re funny. But don’t make any jokes.’ “

Aikman and Buck were then show on TV from an extended angle, with the former Cowboys QB pointing at the suite below.

“She’s right down there,” Aikman said.

And Swift was still on top of the world.
