France fell to a surprise defeat at home against Italy on the opening day of the tournament, but did manage to get back to winning ways against Belgium the following week to leave them on three points ahead of their game in Hungary on Thursday.

In the same group, Belgium travel to the Italian capital to take on an Italy side who, perhaps surprisingly, head into the second international break of the season top of the group with maximum points and a notable victory in Paris.

Group B3 sees many people’s surprising package from Euro 2024, Austria in action against Kazakhstan in Salzburg as Ralf Rangnick’s side take the field in front of their home fans for the first time since the Euros, against a Kazakh side so far winless in the competition.

Only goal difference separates Norway from the top of the group after a highly impressive victory over Austria last month, in which Erling Haaland scored a late winner, and the Scandinavian side take on Slovenia in Oslo on Thursday night, who top the group but are yet to play away from home so far.
