David Schumacher has publicly spoken out to defend his father Ralf amid his increasingly escalating feud with his ex-wife Cora.
The pair both recently attended the wedding of Gina-Maria Schumacher, daughter of Formula One icon Michael – but Cora was notably absent.

Former F1 driver Ralf, who came out as gay publicly this year, brought his partner, Etienne Bousquet-Cassagne to the family nuptials.
The six-time Grand Prix winner’s son David led the positive messages of support when his same-sex relationship was revealed in July.
However, it ignited a war of words between former Williams driver Ralf and his ex-wife, who were previously married for 14 years.
Cora claimed she ‘felt used’ by Schumacher and that she ‘wasted her best years’ on him – which led the 49-year-old to leak a WhatsApp exchange between them where she congratulated his new partner.
The pair married in 2001 – the year their only child David was born – before splitting in 2015, but their son has now weighed in publicly.
German racing driver David, currently competing in the 2024 ADAC GT Masters, made it clear he has sided with his father in the feud.
“Normally I wouldn’t want to talk about family matters in public because these topics have no business being talked about online,” he wrote in a now-deleted statement on his Instagram story.
“Unfortunately, my mother seems to be looking at this differently. It is now time to put an end to it: I just want to live my life in peace, [and] reach my goals without being asked about all the things my mother accuses me and my dad of.”
David, who began karting as a youngster alongside now-Mercedes reserve driver cousin Mick, went on to detail a harrowing episode from his childhood.
He added that his mother had suffered from ‘mental problems’ for ‘as long as I can remember’, and told her to leave the both of them ‘alone’.

David also revealed: “When my parents divorced in 2015, my mother threatened me that if I didn’t live with her, she would destroy my life’s dream, meaning my dream of being a racing driver would be destroyed because, due to the custody of both parents, she would no longer sign the necessary documents.
“Since she was not in the right mental state to care for me and I didn’t want to grow up in an environment where the only thing that mattered all day was what a bad person my father was, I simply didn’t want to be around her anymore.”
He continued: “The constant accusations against my father that he planted everything in my head and only speaks badly about her are not even remotely true.”
“My father always did everything he could to ensure that I had a good relationship with my mother.
“For years, Dad repeatedly persuaded me to give her another chance. I always blocked it because I have no desire and no nerves to go through the same thing again – to awaken old memories and have the same experiences.
“And the way she is behaving at the moment is an absolute disgrace: my parents have been divorced for 9 years now! Please leave us alone and let us live our lives – we’ll leave you alone too! This is the first and last time that I will be speaking publicly on this private issue!”

Cora was kicked out of the German version of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ after only three days in the Jungle at the start of the year following fears she would reveal secrets about Michael.
BILD reported that there was a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ between broadcaster RTL and the Schumacher family not to broadcast any mention of the motorsport legend’s health had Cora leaked it.
55-year-old Michael has been absent from the public eye since suffering a life-altering brain injury following a skiing accident in 2013.
His inner circle have been fiercely protective of his privacy since, with one of the rare updates on his condition coming from his brother.

Speaking with German magazine Bunte, Ralf said: “Unfortunately, sometimes life isn’t fair. We have to accept it. When I see his children Gina-Maria and Mick, my heart smiles. If someone in the family is looking for my advice, I’m there. They go their own way.”
He added: “I miss the Michael of the old days. Life is unfair from time to time. Michael was very lucky throughout his life. But then there was this tragic accident. Michael wasn’t only my brother.
“When we were kids, he was also my coach and mentor. He taught me literally everything about kart racing.”
