Franci Ngannou has called Dana White a liar in a stunning clapback at the UFC president.
This comes after White claimed Ngannou hadn’t made any more money from his two professional boxing fights than if he stayed with the UFC.
Ngannou’s working relationship with White came to a bitter end2022 Chris Unger
The former UFC heavyweight champion left White’s promotion in January 2023 after disagreements with the company over his contract.
He then proceeded to take part in two blockbuster boxing matches with Britain’s Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
‘The Predator’ floored Fury in the third round of their bout a year ago, but lost the fight in Saudi Arabia via a controversial split decision, with many combat sports fans claiming he should’ve been victorious.
The 38-year-old then moved on to Joshua, but was brutally knocked out in the second round having been sent to the canvas two times prior.
Cameroon’s Ngannou has since signed with the PFL and makes his return to MMA on October 19 against Renan Ferreira.
In an interview this month, White was quoted saying that boxing needs a ‘Saudi trillionaire’ and that the money boxers make is ‘all a myth’.
When questioned about the money he was making in the UFC, compared to his boxing venture, Ngannou had some strong words for White.
“Well, unless he was the one writing the cheque, I don’t see how he can know that,” he said, speaking to Shakiel Mahjouri.
“As the inside one that was receiving the money after leaving the UFC and from what the UFC was proposing, it was just a trap…so, that’s a lie.”
White had previously said that he plans to explore boxing as a promoter, with any announcements coming as early as 2025.

“Personally, at this point, it’s been a while since I’ve taken anything from Dana White as credible,” Ngannou said in a separate interview with MMA Junkie this week.
“I don’t give any importance because the things that he says a lot of times cannot make sense.”
Ngannou will fight current heavyweight champion Ferreira in ten days for the PFL Super Fight title.
The Brazilian won the belt in 2023 and is on a four-fight win streak, having finished three of those opponents in the very first round.
