Gaddafi warms up for Kigezi Home Boyz home clash, humiliates select side at Works playground

Build up match:

Gaddafi 6-1 Entebbe Boda Boda Select

Gaddafi Football Club (now under the management of Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation) played their first competitive match at the Works playground on Thursday, 10th October 2024.

This was a build-up match against Entebbe Boda Boda Select team, with Gaddafi recording a comprehensive 6-1 win before a sizeable crowd.

Goals from Gerald Lule, Frank Kalanda, Yasir Mugume, Samuel Kawawa, Daniel Kazibwe and Duncan Sseninde inspired Allan Kabonge’s coached side to the resounding victory.

“The performance was good. We are still building the team with different partnerships and combinations tried out as we head to match day two of the FUFA Big League.” Kabonge attested moments after the match.

All the Gaddafi squad players got an opportunity to feature in this game, a precursor to their first match of the season at the refurbished Works playground where a perimeter fencing was erected and playing surface further improved.

Gaddafi welcomes Kigezi Home Boyz on match day two of the second tier division in Uganda.

Match day one witnessed Gaddafi play to a one-all draw with Kaaro Karungi in Ntungamo district whilst Kigezi Home Boyz won 2-0 over visiting Ntugasaze 2-0 at the Kabale Municipal stadium with Joseph Sseremba notching a brace.

Other games on match day two:

On Saturday, 12th October 2024, there are two matches lined up.

Buhimba United Saints open their campaign of the season with a home duel against West Nile based Onduparaka at the Kigaaya primary school ground in the oil city of Hoima.

Onduparaka played to a home goalless draw with nemesis side Paidha Black Angels on match day one.

On the same day, Booma Football Club will play-host to Blacks Power at the Masindi Stadium.

Sunday, 13th October 2024:

The following day on Sunday will witness four matches in Entebbe, Jinja, Mityana and Bukedea districts.

In Entebbe Municipality, Gaddafi plays Kigezi Home Boyz at Entebbe Works playground.

Elsewhere, Busoga United will entertain Kaaro Karungi at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in Jinja city.

A wounded Ntugasaze outfit will play-host to Kiyinda Boys at the Ssaza ground, Mityana.

Kiyinda Boys beat MYDA on match day one 2-1 at the Barthelem playground, Gayaza.

In Bukedea, MYDA squares up against Calvary at the Kongunga primary school, Bukedea.

Match day two will close with Booma’s home contest against Onduparaka on Tuesday, 15th Onduparaka 2024.

At the end of the season in May 2025, three clubs shall be promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
