Ben Whittaker let out all his frustrations on a wall after a bizarre end to his fight with Liam Cameron on Saturday night.

In the dying embers of the fifth round, both boxers bundled over the top rope with Whittaker coming off worse.

While Cameron was able to make his way back to his feet, Whittaker stayed down, clutching his right leg.

As five rounds had been completed, the fight went to a technical decision with all three judges unable come to an agreement.

The light heavyweight boxers were each awarded a 58-57 score, while a third ruled it a 58-58 even, resulting in a split-decision technical draw.

Whittaker was taken to hospital in a wheelchair after the fight and punched a hole in a wall before he was transported into an ambulance.

DAZN uploaded a photo of the damage, with the caption: “Ben Whittaker punched a hole in the wall backstage after his draw to Liam Cameron.”

Cameron was coming on strong in the later rounds and insisted that Whittaker was looking for a way out of the fight.

“He didn’t want no more,” Cameron told DAZN.

“He was very tired. He gave me his last 30 seconds. He had nothing left. The kid was knackered from round two.

“But look, I definitely beat him. I don’t get a fair share. I got a split decision lost in the last fight.

“I just had a draw in this one. What more do I have to do?

“I’ve never had a promotional deal in my life, and I tried to do my best today to get that win, and I thought I fully deserved it.

“Yeah [Whittaker wanted a way out], you could see it on camera.

“I don’t want to be critical of him, because no one gave me a chance.

“No one. It wasn’t the Liam Cameron show, I didn’t have any cameras on me, following me, just my small team.”

It is presently unknown about the severity of injury Whittaker sustained in the fight.

DAZN reported that Whittaker was taken straight to the medical tent inside the Kingdom Arena where he was treated for injuries to his right leg.

An ambulance then arrived to transport him to a nearby hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
