As expected, celebrities are no match for Usain Bolt on an athletics track.

The fastest man alive regularly left his fellow sprinters in his wake during a stellar career, and we can now see just how far behind some new contenders would trail him in a 100m race.

In yet another weird and wonderful simulation provided by MotionAthlete on YouTube, Bolt is pitted against US rapper Travis Scott and wrestler and actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Taking to the start line, Scott in dressed in typically casual attire, wearing a sweatshirt and baggy trousers, whilst Johnson goes for a more sporty look, donning a yellow hoody and shorts.

Meanwhile, Bolt is kitted out in the traditional yellow and green Jamaica vest that became iconic on his way to clinching eight Olympic gold medals.

Unsurprisingly, the showbiz pair find themselves well behind the sprinting legend within instants of the race starting.

Competing against Bolt’s world record 100m time of 9.58 seconds set in 2009, the duo are no match for him, as he storms to a comfortable victory.

Next over the line was The Rock, who is not shorting of sporting credentials of his own.

A professional wrestler signed to WWE, the 52-year-old is known for his ripped physique, having previously shared that he trains six days a week.

He has also played American Football at a high level, having briefly been signed to the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League in 1995 after a college career at the University of Miami.

In the simulated race, Johnson crosses the line in 11.30 seconds, with the time being calculated based on a 2023 tweet in which he claimed to be able to run a 4.72 second 40-yard-dash.

Finishing over a second behind him in the simulated race is Scott, who comes in at 12.63 seconds to take last place.

The 10-time Grammy award nominated artist was credited with this 100m time based on a surprisingly quick sprint to first base he showcased in a 2021 charity softball match.

And while Scott may have trailed his faster rivals in the animated footage here, his 100m effort would still be very respectable.

According to research, it takes the average adult male between 15 and 20 seconds to complete the distance, whilst a woman of similar description would likely take between 17 and 23 seconds.

Being beaten by Bolt is a feeling the Jamaican star’s rivals during his 13-year career will be all too familiar with.

Widely regarded as the greatest sprinter of all time, the 38-year-old claimed eight Olympic gold medals across three Games campaigns.

As well as boasting the 100m world record, he has also recorded the fastest ever 200 metre sprint, having set an unmatched time of 19.19 seconds in 2009.

Alongside his Jamaican teammates, he also holds the world record for the 4x100m relay, doing so in 36.84 seconds at the London 2012 Olympics.

Having called time on his illustrious career in 2017, simulated footage pitting Bolt against some of the biggest names in the world of music and entertainment may now be the next best thing.
