Harry Kane offered an encouraging evaluation of Thomas Tuchel when asked about his links with the England vacancy.
talkSPORT understands Tuchel is the leading candidate to become the permanent successor to Gareth Southgate.

The former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss is yet to discuss terms of a contract but is very keen on taking the job, and an agreement could be reached in a matter of days as opposed to weeks.
Should he be appointed as the new England manager, Tuchel would return to management following his Bayern departure in the summer.
He spent the 2023/24 campaign at the German giants with Kane, who has nothing but praise for his former boss amid a potential reunion.
When asked about speculation over Tuchel taking the England job, Kane told Sky Sports: “Well, to be honest, I don’t know, I haven’t been told anything.
“So yeah, until it’s announced, obviously I can’t really comment. But we have to wait and see. Obviously, I know Thomas well from last year.
“Fantastic coach, fantastic person, so I’m sure the guys at the FA will contact me when they know more about it.”
Kane scored 44 goals in 45 appearances under Tuchel last season, although Bayern went trophyless for the first time in 12 years.
Bayern are the sixth club of the manager’s career that started at FC Augsburg’s reserve side in 2007 before he joined Mainz.
Tuchel went on to replace Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund for a two-season spell at Signal Iduna Park where he won the DFB-Pokal.
After a year away from management the 51-year-old moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2018 and won two Ligue 1 titles along with four other domestic trophies.

He was dismissed in December 2020 but found his next job just weeks later with Chelsea after they parted ways with Frank Lampard.
It took Tuchel just four months to make an impression as he guided the Blues to their second ever Champions League title.
The German also delivered UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup success to west London before a shock dismissal in September 2022.
Tuchel then won the Bundesliga swiftly after his Bayern appointment in May 2023 and could now be set for international management.
England’s previous manager Southgate called time on his eight-year tenure after their Euro 2024 final defeat to Spain.
Three Lions’ U21s head coach Lee Carsley has since been in interim charge of the senior team amid the FA’s managerial search.
Carsley has won three of his four matches in charge during England’s Nations League campaign and will remain on the touchline until the end of the November international break.

He was eyed as Southgate’s potential replacement on a permanent basis but has recently played down such a prospect.
Carsley revealed to talkSPORT that he didn’t formally apply for the England job and said it deserves a ‘world-class coach’.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has also been a speculated name but talkSPORT understands the club are willing to hand him a rolling contract whereby he can extend his deal a year at a time.
With Tuchel the current frontrunner, he could take charge ahead of the start of England’s World Cup qualifying in March.
