The Premier League season resumes after the October international break with 18 teams in action across Saturday and Sunday.

We have previewed five of the weekend’s matches in our accumulator – why not follow along at home?

A £10 wager on our three-leg acca would pay out £67.24, while the same stake on our five-leg version offers a potential return of £192.55.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal: Arsenal to score in both halves (5/4)

Arsenal continued their unbeaten start to the season the weekend before last, beating Southampton 3-1 after conceding the opening goal at the Emirates Stadium.

It was another accomplished performance from Mikel Arteta’s men, who will now be searching for another three points when they take on another team from the south coast.

Bournemouth went down to a 1-0 loss to Leicester City in their last game, despite creating the better chances on the day. The Cherries will be absolutely fine this season, but they will be up against it against Arsenal.

The Gunners have scored in both halves in their last two games in the Premier League and they are more than capable of doing so again here.

Bournemouth are an effective pressing side but that alone will not be enough to prevent Arsenal creating chances.

Go for Arsenal to score in both halves at 5/4 with bet365

Wolves vs Manchester City: Man City -1.5 Asian handicap (17/20)

Manchester City were given a scare by Fulham in their most recent outing. Although Pep Guardiola’s side ended up winning 3-2, it was an even game that could have gone either way.

City should be in for a more comfortable afternoon when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers, the team currently propping up the Premier League table.

Wolves are still searching for their first win of 2024/25. They did triumph in this fixture last term, but it is hard to see Gary O’Neil’s charges repeating the feat this time around.

Wolves are in a really difficult position and confidence in the camp must be at its lowest for some time.

City were by no means perfect against Fulham, but they have so much quality in the squad that a win by a two-goal margin or more is probable.

Choose Manchester City with a -1.5 Asian handicap at 17/20 with bet365

Liverpool vs Chelsea: Liverpool to win (8/13)

This is the standout fixture of this Premier League gameweek, as unbeaten Liverpool host a Chelsea team that has not lost since the opening weekend.

The Reds may be top of the table as things stand, but they have only faced one fellow big-six side so far – and that was a struggling Manchester United.

The fixture list has also been reasonably kind to Chelsea since they went down to Manchester City in gameweek one. Enzo Maresca’s men can prove they are the real deal by winning at Anfield this weekend.

However, home advantage will be key and Liverpool are also further ahead in their development than Chelsea.

Arne Slot’s side were not at their best against Crystal Palace last time out, yet they still collected maximum points. Whether or not they play well on Sunday, Liverpool can emerge triumphant once more.

Ipswich Town vs Everton: Ipswich or draw (4/11)

Ipswich Town are another Premier League side yet to win a game this season. After a run of four consecutive draws, the Tractor Boys were beaten 4-1 by West Ham United before the international pause.

Ipswich have been competitive in most of their matches this season, so the loss at the London Stadium was a setback.

Still, they are a tougher nut to crack when playing in front of their own fans at Portman Road.

As for Everton, a three-game unbeaten run has relieved some of the pressure on Sean Dyche, although his team have only won one match so far.

The Toffees need to improve on that record if they are to pull away from the bottom three, but in our view they will have to make do with a point at best here.

Back an Ipswich win or a draw at 4/11 with bet365

Southampton vs Leicester City: Under 2.5 goals (11/10)

We are still early in the campaign, but this already feels like a must-win game for Southampton, who have collected one point from the first 21 on offer.

Russell Martin was openly critical of his team after a 3-1 defeat by Bournemouth two games ago. They were not quite as bad against Arsenal but again went down by the same scoreline.

After beating Bournemouth earlier this month, Leicester now have the chance to open up a little gap between themselves and the front three.

The Foxes played expansive, possession-based football under Enzo Maresca last season, but Steve Cooper has made them a more pragmatic side this time around.

Leicester’s priority at St Mary’s will be to keep the score down. Given Southampton’s struggles in the final third up to now, they should have some success in that area.

Select under 2.5 goals at 11/10 with bet365
