Bet of the day
Brentford or draw double chance – 11/10
Manchester United’s problems do not seem to have disappeared after their decision to stick by Erik ten Hag following their FA Cup win over rivals Manchester City last season.
The Red Devils are without a win in their last five games in all competitions and currently sit 14th in the Premier League.
Only relegation candidates Southampton have scored fewer goals than Ten Hag’s men, who have netted just five times in seven league outings.
They face a tough test against Brentford, who have endured a horrendous run of away fixtures, losing on the road to Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham.
They did however take the lead in two of those matches and have taken 10 points from a possible 12 at home.
The Bees have netted 13 times, four of which have come in the first two minutes of their matches, and blew away Wolves 5-3 before the international break.
Thomas Frank’s side are fancied to at least avoid defeat against an under-fire Manchester United team.
Special of the day
Bet Boost – Tottenham to win, both teams to score and over 12.5 corners – 5/1
Tottenham had won five on the spin in all competitions before their shock 3-2 defeat to Brighton before the international break.
They collapsed in the second half of that game but should be able to get the better of their rivals West Ham, who have won just one of their last six matches in all competitions.
Both teams have found the net in seven of the last eight meetings between these two teams and this could be another entertaining affair given the pair’s tendency to be open, particularly in midfield.
Spurs also lead the league in corners taken this term, with 63 in just seven games, and they are fancied to be the driving force behind this game going over 12.5 corner kicks.
Long shot of the day
Aston Villa to win and both teams to score v Fulham – 4/1
Aston Villa have won seven of their last ten games in all competitions this season and they can add to that tally when they visit Fulham.
Marco Silva’s men have had a good start to the campaign but have had an easier run of fixtures than most and may find this jump in class too big, as they did when beaten 3-2 by Manchester City last time out.
Both teams have scored in five of Fulham’s last six matches and that could land again in a Villa win.
