The next great sporting Mecca can be found in Inglewood, California.
Not be confused with its’ neighbor, SoFi Stadium, the Los Angeles Clippers have opened up their own state of the art, cutting-edge arena, the Intuit Dome.

The $2 billion arena is unlike any other in the Association, and that’s exactly what Clippers’ owner, Steve Ballmer, set out to achieve.
And now, it’s finally ready to be put to the rest.
“We’re going to try to make this the most intimate, exciting place in the world to watch a basketball game,” Ballmer told ESPN last week.
“And I think we’re there. On the 23rd of October when we open, that will be validated.
“I don’t want to see [any technological glitches] opening night. I really don’t.
“And I’ll probably hold my breath a little. It’s like showing your new baby. There’s a bunch of things where I’ll be worried. But I think most of them will be just fine.”
The Intuit Dome has held concerts in the last couple of months as sort of a trial-run, leading up to the Clippers opening night game against the Phoenix Suns.
But now it’s for real. It’s show time. Opening night is here.
Part of the Intuit Dome’s unique features include the Halo Board, which is a 38,375 square foot, double-sided, 4K resolution video board, the world’s largest inside of an arena.
Next is The Wall, which is a 51-row sections of seats reserved for Clippers fans only that has been compared to the “Yellow Wall” at Borussia Dortmund‘s Westfalenstadion.

Other features include multiple courts throughout the property, a new advanced practice facility and high-tech features such as facial recognition when entering the arena and being able to order food and drinks directly from your seat.
It is a new era for the Clippers.
Unfortunately, it is an era that is set to begin without their superstar, Kawhi Leonard.
The Clippers have already ruled Leonard out indefinitely to begin the season.
A troubling sign for a team that already lost Paul George in free agency over the summer.
Instead, it’s going to be the enigmatic James Harden that is going to be ushering the Clippers into their new era, in their new home.
Probably not exactly how Ballmer envisioned opening night to go.
Nevertheless, the Clippers finally have their own home in Los Angeles, without having to share space with the big brother Lakers.
‘Share’ isn’t even the appropriate term, as it felt like the Clippers were always just renting the arena formerly known as Staples Center, now Crypto.com.
It was always going to be the house that Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant built.
Nothing was ever going to change that.
Well, now the Clippers can begin to make the Intuit Dome feel like their own home.
All they have to do is win.
