Winnipeg Jets at Seattle Kraken preview

Scott Arniel’s troops are alone in the NHL with a perfect points percentage so far into the young season remaining unbeaten. The Jets grinded out a 3-2 road win against the St. Louis Blues Tuesday night. The Jets  stellar goaltending and rigid defense have allowed two goals or less in four out of six contests.

Dan Bylsma’s men faced off against a resurgent Colorado Avalanche side, losing at home 3-2 Tuesday evening. The Kraken suffered their second defeat on home ice and for the third time in four games in Seattle, they have only managed to pot two goals past the opposing netminder.

Winnipeg Jets at Seattle Kraken predictions

Last year’s Venezia trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck, aided the Jets to victory with a 27 save performances against the Blues. The brick wall in the crease is currently possessing a .948 save percentage  while maintaining a 1.48 GAA  in his five starts.

Racking up the assists Tuesday night, Cole Perfetti assisted on all three of Winnipeg’s goals against the Blues. The 22-year-old now has five assists and has found the back of the net in two instances in six games played. In 146 NHL games under his belt, Perfetti has amassed 82 career points spanning back to the 2021-22 season.

Hitting the 40-goal plateau a couple of seasons ago, Jared McCann is off to a promising start this year. The left winger has lit the lamp on four occurrences including in Tuesday’s setback, while adding five helpers to his account throughout seven appearances. McCann is currently seeing just over 16 minutes of ice time while averaging two shots per game.

The Kraken have alternated their goalies to start the year, with Philipp Grubauer starting in the blue paint on Tuesday, it’s most likely we see Seattle shift back to Joey Daccord in net on Thursday. The 28-year-old at this minute owns a 2.60 GAA with an impressive .914 save percentage.

The Krakens captain Jordan Eberle’s goal-scoring streak was halted against the Avalanche, ending at three games. The veteran winger is currently the leading goal-getter in Seattle sitting with five. Through his 1025 regular season games, Eberle has piled up 709 career points.

Winnipeg Jets at Seattle Kraken betting tips

The Winnipeg Jets are white-hot now, and it’s hard to go against them but all streaks do come to an end and Seattle is fully capable of impeding the Jets perfect run. Thursday’s game will be Winnipeg’s third road test of the season jaunting over to the Pacific coast from St.Louis racking up the air miles. Playing in a different time zone could hinder and throw the Jets body clock off.

Seattle is seemingly finding their groove, especially at home winning two of the last three at Climate Pledge Arena. Holding the high-octane Colorado Avalanche offense to three goals was a true test for this squad despite walking away with zero points in the standings.

They will have another stiff competition on Thursday but the same goes for Winnipeg as in six of their wins, only two were against clubs with a points percentage above .500. The two teams that the Jets defeated above the .500 points percentage, were only one goal margin of victories. The Kraken could be a live underdog and hand Winnipeg their first loss of the year.
