Situated on Bramley-Moore Dock, the stadium, which will cost more than £800m to build, will have a capacity of more than 52,000, with construction ongoing since 2021.

And with the ground expected to be completed by the end of the year, the Merseyside outfit have built up excitement among fans by releasing a series of stunning images of the near-finished product.

In a minute long video shared on the stadium’s official social media, supporters were given a virtual tour of their new home under the lights.

The drone footage showcases the ground at sunset on the banks of the river Mersey, with blue lights illuminating from the outside of the modern venue.

From this, fans are then given an aerial view of the stadium’s interior, showing the stands fully lined with blue seats, with the pitch awaiting completion.

Further images of the ground lit up in blue from the outside were also shared, highlighting the impressive design.

And the latest release certainly caught the eye of fans, who flocked to social media to voice their approval.

One supporter wrote: “Our new home looks incredible.”

Another commented: “Going to be the best stadium in the league.”

After seeing the stunning evening spectacle, an excited fan begged for the ground to make its debut in a night-time fixture.

When Everton do make the two-and-a-half mile move to their new home, it will mark the end of over 130 years of history at Goodison Park.

The first major football stadium to be built in England, the Toffees’ current ground was built in 1892, and has staged more top-flight matches than any other ground in the United Kingdom.

And the all-new Everton Stadium will boast elements of its predecessor in the design, with its brickwork set to pay homage to the famous Archibald Leitch latticework at Goodison Park.

Once open, the venue will become the eighth largest stadium in England, and will host matches at Euro 2028, taking place in the UK and Ireland.

The development will also boast shops, new housing and restaurants among other features. Cost for the project have increased from the initial £500m, with the figure going north of £800m.

As for the future of the club’s 39,000-seater current base, Goodison Park is set to be demolished when Everton move out at the end of this campaign.

The Toffees’ final home game of the season will be against Newcastle on Saturday, May 18, with there expected to be a huge send-off planned for the stadium’s last-ever fixture.
