There isn’t a better 1-2 punch in the NFL right now than Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.

And it might not be close.

After a sluggish 0-2 start to the season, Jackson and Henry have gone scorched the earth over the last five weeks to bring the Baltimore Ravens to 5-2.

No one is playing better ball on the offensive side of the ball.

(Sorry Jared Goff)

Over the last four weeks, the list for AFC Offensive Player of the Week is as followed…

Week 4 – Derrick Henry

Week 5 – Lamar Jackson

Week 6 -Derrick Henry

Week 7 – Lamar Jackson

Again, no one is playing better ball than these two.

They have the number one offense in the league, averaging the most yards and most points than everyone else.

Jackson would only be the seventh player in NFL history to win at least three MVP awardsGetty

Their rushing attack is first in the league, producing a ridiculous 210.9 yards per game, an absurd 44 yards better than the next best team, the Philadelphia Eagles at 166.7 yards per game.

Jackson and Henry have complimented one another perfectly.

In an exclusive with talkSPORT, former NFL player turned analyst, Jason Bell, was effusive in his praise towards Baltimore’s offense, stating that the two-time MVP is playing the best ball of his career.

“Like some of the rappers say, this offense is mad real,” Bell said. “They are dynamic.

“First of all, Lamar Jackson is throwing the ball the best he ever has. He starts the game off slinging the ball, attacking the middle of the field, wherever and obviously he’s a threat in the running game.

“And you have Derrick Henry just closing the games out. Their formula is clear. We’re gonna throw, we’re gonna make you defend that and when you do, it’s Derrick Henry time and it works.

Baltimore, a franchsie long known for its’ historic defenses, is ushering in a new era, led by Jackson and co-signed by Henry.

The offense is the straw that stirs the Baltimore drink, maybe for the first time ever.

Jackson is so dominant right now, Bell believes he could be taking home a third MVP award.

“Baltimore is usually known for their defense, but now it’s the offense leading the way and Lamar, the way he’s playing right now, he’s looking at another MVP trophy, right?

“Look at the way this guy’s playing. This is legendary. This is Hall of Fame. He’s gotten better every year.”

If Jackson does make it three MVP awards, he would be joining rarefied air.

The players with at least three MVP trophies, include Johnny Unitas, Jim Brown, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning.

There’s elite company and then there’s that.

The lone knock on Jackson and his teams in the past have been their underwhelming postseason performances, sitting at just 2-4 with Jackson at the helm.

This year they hope it’s different.

This year, they have Derrick Henry.
