Mbale Heroes 0-1 KCCA

KCCA held for an important 1-0 win over Mbale Heroes at Mbale Municipal stadium to return to winning ways.

Bright Anukani scored the winner at the half hour mark to earn the travelling Kasasiro all points that temporarily return them to the top of the log.

Abdallah Mubiru’s men should have score more goals especially in a dominant first half but were denied by lethargic boots.

Said Mayanja and Ashraf Mugume twice sent their efforts wide from close range while Abu Mayanja who lead the line in the absence of Derrick Nsibambi as well as Shafik Nana Kwikiriza were denied by the cross bar.

In the end second half, Mbale Heroes came out more determined and threw a lot at KCCA but they held on for all points that take their tally to 14 points.

KCCA have also kept five clean sheets in the process conceding just once in six league matches.

Mbale Heroes stay second from bottom on a 16-team table with four points and will hope to make amends next week when they visit Police at Kavumba on Thursday.

KCCA will be next in action at home facing Maroons on the same day at Lugogo.
