Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot might have just won ‘miss of the season’ and it’s not even November.

The Portugal full-back had a glorious opportunity to break the deadlock in the first-half against West Ham.

Dalot was played in behind by teammate Bruno Fernandes and beat onrushing Hammers goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski to the ball.

It left Dalot with the seemingly simple task of tapping the ball into the empty net.

However, the 25-year-old spooned the bouncing ball over the bar, much to the horror of Red Devils supporters.

Reacting on social media, one fan wrote: “Dalot. I have no words. Not a single one.”

Another said: “How the f*** has Dalot missed from there?”

“Miss of the season from Dalot,” a third quipped.

The miss even shocked West Ham fans, who celebrated like their own team had just scored.
