It’s sixth versus fifth at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix on Monday evening, with both Mallorca and Athletic Bilbao on 17 points from 10 games.
Both teams go into this game off the back of home victories – Mallorca beating Rayo Vallecano 1-0 last weekend, while Bilbao thrashed Espanyol 4-1.
Not only are these two teams evenly matched in the league positions, but there has also been little to separate them in recent meetings.
Four of the last five encounters have been draws after 90 minutes, including the Copa Del Rey clash in April – with Bilbao eventually winning on penalties.
The last two meetings in Mallorca have been draws, 0-0 last season and 1-1 in the 2022-23 campaign.

After slipping to defeat to Sporting Lisbon earlier in the season, Porto have bounced back and won their last four league games on the spin.

Most people wouldn’t have expected to see both Blackpool and Wigan in the bottom half of the League One table, with 12 games played.
Blackpool had seemed to have turned things around after the appointment of Steve Bruce, winning their first four league games under the stewardship of the former Newcastle boss.
But the Tangerines have lost their last three in a row and are now just five points outside of the relegation zone.
Wigan are currently two places and two points behind their opponents, with Latics having lost their last two matches, against Cambridge and Mansfield.
Scoring has been a big problem for Shaun Maloney’s men, who have the joint second lowest goal tally in the league – with 10 in 12 games.
Blackpool – who won this fixture 2-1 last season – have scored more goals than any other team in the bottom half of League One, with 19 to date.
Six of those goals have come from Scottish forward Kyle Joseph, who has bagged twice in the last four matches, including their solitary goal in a 5-1 defeat at Peterborough last weekend.
