The vicious cycle of a sporting entity has in-lets and out-lets. As Brian Ssenyondo mutually parted ways with Kitara Football Club, in comes Richard Wasswa Bbosa, a former Uganda Cranes international.
Barely 24 hours after announcing the exit of Ssenyondo, the club has officially confirmed the appointment of Bbosa.
“We are delighted to announce Wasswa Bbosa as the new head coach. He (Bbosa) takes over for the remainder of the season replacing Brian Ssenyondo who was relieved of his duties.” the club announced on Monday, 28th October 2024 via their official website.
Bbosa has been unemployed his tenure at Mbarara City came to a close at the apex of the 2023-2024 season.
He comes along his own backroom staff that has former Uganda Cranes striker Hassan “Figo” Mubiru, one of the finest forwards to don the national team jersey.

Other members on the technical docket:
Richard Kansole (goalkeeping coach), Ayub Balyejusa (fitness trainer), Aloysious Makubuya (doctor) and Alex Mugisha (statistician) are the other members on Bbosa’s backroom wing.
Bbosa has previously won the Uganda Premier League title and the CECAFA Kagame Cup with Express Football Club.
Bboas has also worked at Sports Club Villa, Tooro United, Gaddafi and lately Mbarara City.
He also served as the head coach for the Uganda U-23 national team (Kobs).
His immediate task at hand is the away contest against Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) at the Hamz Stadium – Nakivubo.
In the opening six matches of the season, Kitara has won and drawn once with four losses.
Christened as “The Royals”, Kitara commenced the new season with a convincing 3-0 win at newcomers Lugazi in Mabira before losses to NEC, KCCA, Police and lately BUL.
They also also played to a 1-all draw with Mbarara City at the Kakyeeka stadium.
