South Africa Head Coach Hugo Broos has named a provisional squad of 38 players to prepare for the final round of games of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Bafana Bafana who are second in Group K will face Uganda on 15th November in Kampala before taking on South Sudan at home in the final group game.
Forward Percy Tau who plies his trade at Al Ahly in Egypt has been named in the provisional squad. This is the first time that the experienced player will be taking part in the 2025 Qualifiers.
However, striker Lyle Foster who scored one of the goals against Uganda in the 2-2 is out of the squad due to injuries.
Uganda needs only one point to qualify to AFCON 2025 while South Africa must earn a win in any of their two remaining games to guarantee their chances.
