L’Eau du Sud makes his chase debut for Dan Skelton and is unsurprisingly odds-on to win.
He may have only won twice over hurdles but placed very close up in top contests last season.
Including a second place finish in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury in February before placing second in the County Handicap Hurdle behind Absurde.
The grey should make a great chaser which is why we’re going for a place bet that pays out better, on No Risk Des Flos.
Which covers for more eventualities too, with question marks always on chase debuts.
This grey gelding, trained by Olly Murphy has won twice over fences from 11 runs.
He’s now running off 10lb lower than when he made his seasonal reappearance last year and despite a couple of respectable performances has dropped to a dangerous weight.
Part of that could well be what was ultimately fixed in September with a wind op.
He could make a bold return having run well in December over this distance on Boxing Day.
