Event: The Girls Christmas Camp 2024-2025

The 2024-2025 Watoto Wasoka Girls Christmas Camp will take place between 16th to 20th December 2024 at the Emirates College School in Nkoowe, Wakiso district.
This camp has always been about more than just football—it’s about creating a space where young girls can thrive, grow, and pursue the game they love.
Through the camp, the young girls will be offered a dedicated environment focused on developing their football skills and providing a safe, supportive space to explore their passion.
Traditionally, the girls arrived on January 2nd, joining the boys for two days of gala-style competition.
However, this year marks a new chapter, with the girls having their own dedicated camp for the first time.
This extended format will allow them more time to engage themselves in the sport, with an emphasis on more time, teamwork, and personal growth.

Over the years, the camp has produced rising stars like Hadijah Nandago and Brenda Munyana, and winning teams such as Al-Phoenix Girls’ Team (Munyonyo), Uganda Martyrs (Lubaga), Everton Uganda (Kawempe), MBK Sportline (Kawanda), and Allianz Academy (Kabowa).
The focus of the camp is to develop girls’ football by giving them the time and space to truly engage with the game they love.
In doing so, the Watoto Wasoka Girls’ Christmas Camp continues to build the future of women’s football in Uganda, nurturing talent and empowering young girls to shine both on and off the field.
This year’s all-female edition is a testament to Watoto Wasoka’s commitment to the growth of girls’ football.
With more time, more opportunities, and a space dedicated solely to them, these young players are set to thrive as they take their skills and passion for football to the next level.
The camp has also received generous support from the Embassy of France to Uganda.
