Wakiso Giants goal drought stretches to over seven hours

Wakiso Giants continue to struggle in front of goal and Wednesday was not any different as they were held to a goalless draw by Lugazi FC.

The barren statement pointed to the Purple Sharks inability to find the outlet despite playing well.

The result today meant, Steven Bengo’s team has now gone five games without a goal which translates to 7 and half hours.

The team has failed to score against UPDF FC, Vipers SC, NEC FC, Express FC and Lugazi FC in that order.

The absence of striker Herbert Asiimwe who had started the season well, scoring three goals in the opening five games even makes the situation complex.

Asiimwe got injured in the game against Vipers SC and has since been sidelined.

The result leaves Wakiso Giants and Lugazi FC on nine points each with the former occupying 12th place while the latter being one place better on the table.
