Ronnie O’Sullivan has admitted he’s ‘disappointed’ with his International Championship run, but insists he’s still ‘feeling good’.
The seven-time world champion was knocked out of the tournament in the last 32 by Pang Junxu on Tuesday.
The 48-year-old reached the semi-finals last time out, falling to a 9-6 defeat to Zhang Anda.
This time, O’Sullivan was defeated three rounds earlier, but he insists he’s doing good despite the 6-4 defeat to Pang.
Taking to X on Wednesday, he wrote: “Out and about in Nanjing.
“Disappointed to be out but I’m feeling good.”
He also posted three photos of him exploring host city Nanjing.
The third round match had been tied at 2-2 in the Chinese city.
But 24-year-old Pang soon took a 4-2 lead after making breaks of 85 and 73 and went on to defeat O’Sullivan.
Pang then faced Welshman Jackson Page in the round of 16, but lost 6-4.
O’Sullivan had made a classy gesture after surviving a scare against women’s No.1 Mink Nutcharut earlier in the tournament.
The Rocket had also beaten He Guoqiang 6-2 on Monday, his first time defeating the 24-year-old having lost their two previous meetings.
The loss at the English Open led to O’Sullivan hinting at retirement and withdrawing from a number of events.
The International Championship was his first appearance since the English Open defeat.
Now, his wait to win the competition will continue.
The quarter-finals get underway on Thursday.
The event runs until Sunday’s best of 19 frames final, where the winner will scoop £175,000 in prize money.
