Their long-anticipated bout will be watched by up to 80,000 fans in attendance at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and potentially millions more worldwide on Netflix.

Both men have talked up their chances ahead of the fight and some of the biggest names in sport are split over who will take the win.

Tyson, a 58-year-old former heavyweight world champion who has not competed in a professional bout since 2005, is backed by boxing icons Lennox Lewis, Roy Jones Jr and Tyson Fury.

Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer who has won ten of his 11 pro fights, has been tipped to win by Anthony Joshua, Bob Arum, Jorge Masvidal and KSI.

Jake Paul will knock out Mike Tyson. This will not be close at all,” KSI wrote, sharing his prediction on social media.

“Boxing is a young man’s game and Mike is 58 years old. They’re sending a lamb to the slaughter and it’s disgusting.”

However, not everyone has that much faith in Paul.

In fact, Good Morning Football host Akbar Gbajabiamila believes Tyson is going to ‘massacre’ his opponent.

“This man, YouTuber Paul, has had 11 pro fights. What are we doing here?” the former NFL star questioned.

“This is insanity, I can never see a YouTuber beating Mike Tyson. We are going to probably witness a massacre on Netflix.

“It’s going to turn into a crime scene. And the best part is we won’t have to solve it. We already know who did it – Mike Tyson.”

Gbajabiamila went on to suggest that Paul “barked up the wrong tree” in pushing for the fight, noting that he would back himself in a bout against the YouTube star.

“If you asked me who I’d rather take, I’d rather take out Jake myself,” he continued.

“I think this is disrespectful, I’m a little heated right now. Why would you even step in with the champ Mike Tyson? Why would you even call him out like that?”

Paul’s inexperience has been debated ahead of the fight, given he is stepping into the ring with one of the most ferocious boxers in history.

During his professional career from 1985 to 2005, Tyson had a reputation for throwing seriously powerful punches.

He had a KO ratio of 88 per cent, seeing off legends like Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks.

Even long past his prime, Tyson has been credited by fellow great Jones Jr with packing the strongest punch he’d ever faced – even at the age of 54.

“Mike Tyson hit me harder in my chest than I have been hit in my whole career. He still has that legendary power, trust me,” Jones Jr said.

It’s clear Gbajabiamila agrees with that assessment, and isn’t giving Paul much of a chance on Friday night.
