Champion Taylor famously beat Serrano at Madison Square Garden in New York in April 2022 via split decision in a truly epic bout.

Several publications, including talkSPORT, rated it the Fight of the Year for 2022 and a rematch has been in the pipeline ever since.

Since that first meeting, Ireland’s Taylor suffered the only loss of her career after falling to Chantelle Cameron in May 2023.

However, six months later, the 38-year-old avenged that defeat to reclaim her IBF, WBC and WBO women’s super-lightweight titles.

Meanwhile, Serrano, who is promoted by main-eventer Paul, recorded her fourth straight win by beating Stevie Morgan in July.

The Puerto Rican will again challenge for the belts Taylor holds at 140lbs, but the fight will be fought at a catchweight of 138.

Taylor vs Serrano 2: What has been said?

Taylor has admitted during an exclusive interview with talkSPORT that she is worried for Tyson as he gears up to face Paul.

“Yeah, there are obviously concerns there,” the undisputed super lightweight queen said. “I don’t want to see him getting hurt.

“As an icon of the sport, I have so much respect for Mike Tyson as a fighter and what he has done for the sport.

“He’s in there against a real young, fresh guy in Jake Paul and he’s a good athlete as well.

“But Mike Tyson seems to be very confident in himself. He seems to be putting the work in and training hard so I hope he comes out on top.

“But we will see what happens. That is what makes this such an amazing spectacle, you don’t know what is going to happen in this fight so everybody is going to be tuning in and it’s going to be very interesting.”
