Paddy Power Gold Cup Day is one of the highlights of the racing calendar and one that racing punters look forward to each year.
Here, you will find my best betting tips for day two of the Cheltenham Paddy Power Gold Cup and the best online horse racing bookmakers to make your next bet a winning one.
Best day two Cheltenham November Meeting betting tips
- Cheltenham 12:35 – My Noble Lord 4/1
- Cheltenham 1:10 – The Newest One 5/1
- Cheltenham 1:45 – Lookaway 7/2
Cheltenham 12:35 – Grade 2 JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle (2½f)
A race won last year by the now second favourite for the Greatwood Hurdle, Burdett Road, and the same connections come in here with East India Dock seeking back-to-back wins.
He looks to have a bright future ahead of him, but MY NOBLE LORD may be able to edge him out here.
A winner of four of his five starts on the flat, he made a winning start to life over hurdles at Chepstow. There was a lot to like about that run; he looks sure to come on massively for that experience.
My Noble Lord is an exciting prospect for the young team of Grennall & Guerriero and may prove hard to beat.
- Current Betting: East India Dock 5/2, My Noble Lord 4/1, Paririe Angle 4/1, Static 4/1, Model Approach 10/1, Moutarde 10/1, 16/1 bar.
Bet on My Noble Lord with Paddy Power
Cheltneham 1:10 – Steel Plate & Sections Ltd Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase (3m1f)
THE NEWEST ONE made a winning start to the season under this jockey last month.
He dug deep to beat Jimmy The Digger, but it never looked like he would be passed after the last, even though he was made plenty of use throughout the race.
He has gotten a five-pound hike in the weights, but given the grit he showed to win last time out, there may be even more to come from The Newest One.
And in these amateur jockey races, it’s never a bad thing to be up with the pace.
He jumps and stays well and should be able to put up a bold showing once again.
- Current Betting: Come on Tebby 4/1, The Newest One 5/1, Read To Return 5/1, Transmission 11/2, Strictlyadancer 10/1, Jimmy The Digger 10/1, 16/1 bar.

Cheltenham 1:45 – Paddy Power Arkle Challenge Trophy Trial Novices’ Chase (2m)
L’Eau du Sud made an impressive start to life over fencesat Stratford. Bar his attempt to bank the fourth fence he put in what was a chase debut full of promise. But at the current prices, he is worth taking on with the Grade 2 course-winning hurdler, LOOKAWAY.
As I said, Lookaway was a Grade 2 winning hurdler on this track last season and backed up that run with a close second to Iberico Lord in the Greatwood Hurdle, giving him a high level of hurdles form.
Having made a more than satisfactory chase debut in a two-runner race at Uttoxeter at the start of the month, there is every reason to believe that Lookaway can get loose on the front end here and put his rivals’ jumping to the test.
With his course form and an impressive chase debut already behind him, he may have enough to hold off his rivals on a course he acts well around.
- Current Betting: L’Eau du Sud 6/5, Lookaway 7/2, Petit Tonnerre 15/2, Western Zephyr 10/1, San Salvador 16/1, 25/1 bar.
