It’s an all-Texas showdown at AT&T Stadium in the early hours of Tuesday morning, as the Dallas Cowboys play host to the Houston Texans.
With a 3-6 record and without a win at home in four attempts this season, it’s been a truly miserable season for Dallas fans with little to no hope of making the playoffs.
The loss of star quarterback Dak Prescott has added to the Cowboys’ woes, with back-up QB Cooper Rush struggling to impress in a 34-6 defeat to NFC East rivals the Philadelphia Eagles last time out.
Now on a four-game losing streak in the NFL, it’s hard to see the Cowboys turning their fortunes around against the 6-4 Houston Texans and another defeat looks to be on the cards for under pressure head coach Mike McCarthy.

Collins return comes at bad time for Cowboys
Texans quarterback C.J Stroud has hardly been setting the league alight this season but he will be handed a significant boost ahead of the relatively short trip to Arlington.
Star wide receiver Nico Collins has confirmed he will be playing in Tuesday’s showdown at AT&T Stadium after recovering from a hamstring injury he picked up back in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills.
Collins has been sorely missed, after picking up 567 yards in his first five games of the season and scoring three touchdowns in that time.
Having Collins back on the field will be a massive boost for Houston and for Stroud, who will be delighted to have a key weapon back on offence.
The Cowboys secondary struggled against the Eagles last time out and Collins could come back with a bang in this all-Texas clash.
Everything about this game points to a Texans win, while Houston should be good enough to also cover the spread, especially with Collins looking to make an impact on his long-awaited return.
Points at a premium in Arlington
While the Texans should be the ones smiling come the end of Tuesday’s contest, it’s hard to see this game being a high-scoring shootout in Arlington.
As mentioned, the Cowboys’ offence only rustled up six points against the Eagles at AT&T Stadium and even those points came from two Brandon Aubrey field goals.
Rush has been dealt a rough hand after the injury to Prescott, playing in an offence that has zero ground threat that he can really turn to.
Scoring an average of 12 points per game in their last four outings, it’s hard to see this Dallas offence causing the Texans too many problems here.
If Dallas can’t offer up too many touchdowns, getting over the 41.5 total points market on offer looks like a stretch.
Opt for going under the total in his one, as Dallas’ season looks set to fade out with a whimper and a major rethink of what’s happening at AT&T Stadium.
