Busoga United Football Club, competing in the FUFA Big League, has officially announced the appointment of Charles Lukula Ayiekoh as their new head coach.
The club confirmed the development in a statement released on Monday, November 19, 2024.
“Busoga United Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Coach Charles Lukula Ayiekoh as our new Head Coach,” the statement read in part.
Ayiekoh brings a wealth of experience and tactical expertise to the Jinja-based side, which has struggled in the ongoing campaign.
Under their former coach, Eric Ndifuna, Busoga United failed to register a win in their opening seven games, managing four draws and suffering three defeats.
The poor start leaves the team sitting in 13th place on the 15-team table with only four points. Ayiekoh’s immediate task will be to turn around the club’s fortunes and steer them away from the relegation zone.
As he takes over, Ayiekoh is expected to revamp the squad and instil confidence in the players, aiming to improve results and secure Busoga United’s position in the league.
The club and its fans are hopeful that his appointment marks the beginning of a much-needed resurgence.
