Kitara FC finally returned to winning ways after undergoing a torrid period since the start of the season.

The Royals who were tipped by many to be title contenders have been far from convincing.

Besides the 2-0 win on the first day of the season, the Hoima based side has been at sixes and sevens.

The poor performance led to the sacking of coach Brian Ssenyondo with Wasswa Bbosa replacing him.

However, even with the change in the dugout, results were not coming for Kitara and Bbosa lost his first two games in charge to URA FC and Soltilo Bright Stars.

The international break came at the right time for Bbosa who went back to the drawing board and tried to make redresses.

Indeed there was change in performance as Kitara FC brushed aside UPDF FC on Friday at the Royal Park in Butema.

A superb first half performance saw the home side score three goals to put the game beyond UPDF’s reach.

Fred Amaku fired Kitara into the lead in the 14th minute before left footed winger Living Kabon bagged a first half brace.

George Ssenkaaba put the game to bed in the third minute of the second half to help the home side secure their second win of the season.

The win takes Kitara FC to 7 points from nine games and move off the base of the table to 13th position.

UPDF FC on the other hand remain 7th on 12 points.
