SC Villa put up a remarkable performance on Saturday at Wankulukuku to obliterate Wakiso Gaints FC in a one-sided encounter.
In a game where thr SC Villa stamped their authority right from kickoff, the Jogoos earned a 6-1 victory, the biggest winning margin this season.
Charles Lwanga opened the scores in the 14th minute when Reagan Mpadde teed him up.
Patrick Jonah Kakande doubled the advantage, two minutes after the half hour mark with arguably a goal of the season contender.
The diminutive forward, picked up possession at the halfway line, dazzled past several Wakiso Giants players before slotting home.
Hakim Kiwanuka who recently made his debut for Uganda Cranes came on at the start of the second half, replacing Najib Yiga.
The fast winger needed only six minutes to register his name on the score sheet to register Villa’s third goal of the day.
Marvin Oshaba pulled one back for the visitors in the 58th minute, converting from the spot after Simon Kato Ssemayange held the ball in the box.
However, this did not stop SC Villa from being dominant. Lwanga got his second of the day in the 64th minute before Reagan Mpadde and David Owori too got joined the scoring spree.
Victory takes SC Villa to fourth place on 14 points while Wakiso Giants FC drop to 13th on 9 points.
