Mike De Decker could only laugh as he was thrashed by Luke Littler in the Players’ Championship quarter-final on Sunday.
Littler hit a hat-trick of bull finishes as he dispatched his opponent 10-3 to reach the last four.
The 17-year-old averaged 103.73 as he barely got out of third gear to beat De Decker.
The teenager also had a 59 per cent checkout success rate.
The Belgian looked stunned as he accepted his fate, before joking to Littler after the defeat.
It was the second week in a row that Littler has beaten De Decker, but this time did not need to mount a comeback.
“Very happy with another good performance and I’m very happy to get through to the final stage tonight,” he told ITV.
“It was 104 [average] but it definitely didn’t feel like that. We both have slack darts but I played a better game.”
He later added: “I didn’t miss a shot at the bull, which were big opportunities in the game to go even further in front.
“He did say ‘do you want to take up bowling instead of darts’ but I was like, nah I’ll stick to darts’.”
Littler will face either Ross Smith or Scott Williams in the last four this evening.
“I’m still young and I enjoy every minute of it on the big stage and I just can’t wait until the final session tonight,” he added.
Luke Humphries is also still on course for the final, he faces Ryan Joyce on Sunday afternoon for a spot in the last four.
