  • UPDF vs Police – Bombo 4pm
  • Wakiso Giants vs URA – Wakisha 4pm

Police FC coach Simon Peter Mugerwa has urged his boys to show up and beat UPDF as the two teams prepare to face off in the Premier League on Wednesday.

The two sides are tied on same points, 12 although the Cops ahead in 7th place on goal difference, three places above the army side.

With nearly the same form, just one win in the last five outings, a win will do a lot of good in regards to standings.

“It is a very important match for us, a derby of sorts since we are all armed forces,” said Mugerwa whose side’s only defeat in the campaign so far came at Vipers.

“In that regard, we have ironed out areas that are lacking like putting away the chances we create.”

Despite being one of the best defensively astute sides in the division so far having conceded only six goals, they have only managed to score one more.

Against Paul Kiwanuka’s UPDF, they take on a side that is yet to lose a home match with three victories in the four matches hosted so far.

On the other hand, Police has managed just one victory on the road drawing two and a defeat which came against Vipers at Kitende.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, Wakiso Giants host URA at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Wakiso.
