KCCA will be more like wounded lions when they make a trip to Mabira to face Lugazi on Saturday.

The Kasasiro saw their unbeaten start to the season come to halt in the previous match day as they lost to NEC 1-0 and thus need a swift reaction if they are to be genuine contenders this campaign.

Abdallah Mubiru admits the NEC defeat was a setback in his team’s mission but says focus now is on Lugazi.

“We moved on from that defeat and now set all focus on trying to win the next game which is against Lugazi,” said Mubiru. “The morale in the camp is good with every player eager to play a part and we shall go there needing a top performance and points,” he added.

KCCA could have skipper Julius Poloto, Brazilian Gabriel and centre forwards Emmanuel Anyama and Derrick Nsibambi available for selection after shaking off injuries.

Meanwhile, Lugazi come into the game on the back of five matches unbeaten and have not conceded a goal in the last four which has helped them climb out of the red zone into 12th position with 10 points.

Steven Bogere’s men will also draw inspiration from holding table leaders Vipers to a goalless stalemate at the venue where they have only lost league match this season – the opening match to Kitara.

In the other league fixture on Saturday, Vipers host Kitara under the lights at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.
