After getting his first three points in charge at Kitara, Wasswa Bbosa hopes that be a springboard for a decent run starting with a trip to Kitende where Vipers is lurking.

The two sides face off on Saturday with the Venoms in very fine form as they have not lost a match since match day one when they were stunned by NEC.

In that run, Vipers have outclassed giants URA, SC Villa and Express and only dropped points to KCCA in the closing stages when they conceded an equaliser.

“We got our first win and we hope that kick starts a good run,” said Bbosa. “It will be a difficult game against a strong opponent but our mission is to avoid defeat at Kitende,” he added.

Last season’s corresponding fixture created kind of animosity between the two sides after a would-be Kitara late equaliser was wrongly ruled out for offside.

Fred Amaku, George Ssenkaaba and Kabon Living who came up with goals in the win over UPDF will be key for the visitors who also have Uganda Cranes duo Jude Ssemugabi and Puskas award nominee Denis Omedi eager to impress the new boss.

For the hosts, on fire Allan Okello, Milton Karisa and Yunus Sentamu will run the show as the Venoms aim to keep their top position.

Key Stat

  • Vipers are unbeaten in the five meetings with Kitara winning four league matches and only losing to Kitara on penalties in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
