Frank Warren has promised that Tyson Fury’s team will be on their best behaviour ahead of his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

Usyk handed Fury the first defeat of his professional career in May, but will be given the opportunity to exact his revenge when they run it back on December 21.

Last time out, the fight was marred by controversy in the build-up when John Fury headbutted a member of Team Usyk during a bust-up at a Saudi hotel.

Fury Sr emerged from the heated altercation with a cut on his head and blood trickling down his face while the team member in question, Stanislav Stepchuk, came off with a small nick of his own.

Several members of the boxing fraternity called for Fury‘s father to be removed from his son’s corner.

But John was in the ring between rounds and is expected to adopt the same role again for the rematch – although Warren insists there won’t be a repeat of the same pre-fight antics.

“That ain’t going to happen,” he told DAZN’s Face Off.

“This fight doesn’t even need that because it was such a great fight between two of the best heavyweights of the 21st century.

“The last fight was a magnificent fight and it will be the same again. Anyone who knows anything about boxing will be tuned in on the 21st to see this.

“Because this is going to be another great, magnificent fight. I think [Fury is] going to win it and I think he’s going to stop him.”

Fury’s corner for the inaugural encounter, led by SugarHill Steward and involving assistant Andy Lee and his dad, came under fire for being too crowded.

John was singled out by pundits for shouting over Steward, who is supposed to be the main voice.

However, Fury affirms there will be no changes to his team in the lead-up to fight two.

“People can say ‘I want to change trainers or I’ll blame it on me conditioning coach or I’ll blame it on the cook or I’ll blame it on the mouse next door.’

“For me, it is the same team, same everything. I know what I’ve got to do. I thought I won the fight last time.

“I give him, me boxing all my life and watching boxing my whole career, I give him rounds eight, nine and ten, and round nine was a 10-8.

“So that’s what I give him out of the fight, but obviously the judges saw it a bit different, couple of them did.

“One of them had me winning. That’s what it was. It was as close as it can be.

“There’s no secret – I’m going in there to knock him out because I don’t think I’m gonna get a decision no matter what I do.

“So I have to take it out of the judges’ hands. I believe I have to get him out of there.”
