Bet of the Day
Wolves to beat Everton @ 23/10
Everton have won only two Premier League matches all season and they head into Wednesday’s visit of Wolves on the back of a 4-0 hammering at the hands of Manchester United.
That defeat was the fourth game in a row that the Toffees haven’t scored and given their struggles in front of goal, it’s surprising to see them 11/10 favourites to pick up the win at Goodison Park
Visitors Wolves looked good in a recent 2-0 victory over Southampton and 4-1 hammering of Fulham, results which extended their unbeaten run to four games at the time.
Gary O’Neil’s men were turned over at home to Bournemouth at the weekend, losing 4-2, but that was the 14th successive match they have scored in and that extra attacking flair can help them leave Merseyside with all three points.
Longshot of the Day
Southampton to beat Chelsea @ 7/1
Punters taking the 7/1 on rock-bottom Southampton to beat Chelsea at St Mary’s will need plenty to go their way, but that offer is too big to refuse when they pair clash on Wednesday.
The Saints ran Liverpool, who are out clear at the top of the Premier League table, mighty close when losing 3-2 on the south coast last month and Russell Martin’s side backed up that effort by picking up a point against a top-level Brighton side on Friday night.
Southampton have been criticised for playing out from the back and sticking to their forward-thinking philosophy, but few teams have caused Liverpool as many issues this season and that negativity surrounding the Saints’ approach looks misplaced.
Chelsea were good when beating Aston Villa 3-0 at the weekend, but Unai Emery’s men were on a seven-game winless run going into that contest and the Blues may have been a little overrated on the back of that success.

Special of the Day
Dan Burn and Joelinton both to be carded @ 21/2 – Newcastle v Liverpool
Table-toppers Liverpool travel to St James’ Park to face Newcastle on Wednesday evening and this could turn out to be a difficult night for the Magpies, who have gone two games without a win.
Eddie Howe’s side face a Liverpool team that are in red-hot form and scoring with ease, with Arne Slot’s troops netting twice or more in each of their last eight matches in all competitions.
Newcastle will be doing everything they can to stop the Reds’ fluent attack and this could lead to some rough play from midfielder Joelinton, who has made the most fouls of any player in the league this season with 29.
The Brazil international has picked up four yellow cards and a fifth caution, which would trigger a one-match ban, could be heading his way.
Joining Joelinton in the book could be defender Dan Burn, who could struggle against the pace of Liverpool’s attack, especially if Lewis Hall gets forward as he likes to do.
The 32-year-old has only just come back from a suspension, having received five yellows, and it would be no surprise to see him go in the referee’s book again.
