Australian teenage sensation Gout Gout has done it again.

Gout delivered one of the fastest 100m races by a 16-year-old in history on the opening day of the Australian All-Schools Championship in Queensland.

In the heat, Gout clocked a staggering time of 10.04 seconds to breeze past his rivals and win the under-18 race.

Commentator Mitch Dyer said: “That is unbelievable.”

However, Gout’s time was unfortunately not considered legitimate due to the sheer amount of tailwind propelling him forward.

Gout had a tailwind of +3.4, which is over the legal +2.5 metres-per-second legal wind reading permitted.

Sadly for Gout, it meant his heat time was not enough to break the Australian under-18 national record for 100m, which belonged to Seb Sultana who ran a 10.27s sprint.

However, Gout eclipsed Sultana’s time when he produced a sizzling sprint to win the under-18 100m final.

Gout was in third place for the first half of the race before he exploded in the final 50m to surge ahead of the competition and cross the line in first.

The 16-year-old clocked a time of 10.17s with a legal +0.9 wind, setting the new national under-18 record as well as a new personal best.

“He can’t be stopped,” commentator Dyer said.

“He is incredible. The future is here, you just watched it.”

Gout celebrates after setting yet another Australian record

Gout will return to the track in Queensland for the 200m event on Saturday.

The 16-year-old’s latest feat is just another feather in his cap from what has been a sensational few months.

Gout ran a blistering 200m time of 20.60 at the Under-20 World Championships in August, a time that beat Olympic legend Usain Bolt‘s time by 0.01 seconds.

Bolt’s record had stood for 22 years.

Gout also won the 100m and 200m events at the All Schools Queensland Championship.

The hype is very much real regarding the 16-year-old, who signed a sponsorship deal with apparel giants Adidas in October.

Gout’s manager James Templeton also revealed in November the teenager had received an opportunity to train with the fastest man on the planet, Noah Lyles.

“We have the opportunity to go to Florida and join the training group of Noah Lyles and [coach] Lance Brauman,” Templeton told ABC Sport.

“There’s about 16 or 18 top sprinters there. We’ll be heading over for two or three weeks. That’ll be a great opportunity, a wonderful educational experience.

“I haven’t heard from Noah, but he’s a great guy and I’m sure he’ll be happy to take the younger guy under his wing a little bit.”
