Mohamed Hussein and McDonald Mariga have vowed to restore the past glory days of Kenyan football.
Hussein was over the weekend voted as the new President of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and Mariga, ex-Kenyan international as his deputy taking over from Nick Mwendwa who spent eight years at the helm of Kenyan football.
“Thank you to all the delegates who believed in the FRESH START team and voted for change,” Hussein posted on his X account.
“This is not just our win – it’s a win for every player, fan, club, and supporter who dreams of a better future for our game. The work to rebuild Kenyan football begins now.
“Together, we will restore pride, nurture talent, and bring back the passion that unites us all. Asanteni sana for making this possible!”
Hussein garnered 42 votes from 90 voters in an election conducted at the Moi International Sports Centre, Indoor Arena in Kasarani.
