  • UPDF vs Mbale Heroes – Bombo 4pm
  • NEC vs Soltilo Bright Stars – 7pm

NEC will miss two of their key players when they host Soltilo Bright Stars at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo on Wednesday under the flood lights.

Enock Ssebagala and James Jarieko are suspended after accumulating three bookings and will miss the encounter as NEC aim to reclaim top spot from Vipers SC.

However, the hosts welcome defenders David Bayiga and Gideon Odong who missed the 1-1 draw with URA last week through same issues.

Hussein Mbalangu is aware of the threat posed by Bright Stars who sit bottom of the log.

“They are a good side and so we must beware,” Mbalangu told reporters. “But we have worked on finishing as we missed chances against URA and I believe we shall win as we have made our home a slaughter house,” he added.

The visitors come into the game on the back of three winless matches and have only managed one victory in eleven Premier League matches.

Ian Mutenda will hope his attackers led by skipper Nelson Ssenkatuka are in fine form while being lethal at the back.

The two Premier League meetings last season ended in stalemates with the game goalless at Lugogo and 1-1 in Kavumba.

In the other match on Wednesday, UPDF host Mbale Heroes at Military Barracks Grounds, Bombo.
