The thunderous roars of victory, resilience, and unity echoed through the walls of the New Club Obligato as the curtains fell on the BRAFAI Rising Warriors Mixed Marital Arts (MMA) charity event.

This was a momentous occasion that brought together warriors from India, Kenya, DRC, Tanzania, and the hosts, Uganda.

Showcasing electrifying bouts in boxing, kickboxing, and MMA, the event not only delivered unparalleled sportsmanship but ignited a movement of hope against Sickle Cell Anaemia.

Graced by the esteemed Dr. Charles Kiyaga, National Coordinator of Sickle Cell Anaemia under Uganda’s Ministry of Health, the event spotlighted the pressing fight against Sickle Cell Anaemia—a silent scourge affecting thousands of Ugandan families.

Dr. Kiyaga’s presence reinforced the commitment of both BRAFAI and the government to combat this illness through awareness, prevention, and proactive management.

In his closing remarks, Wisdom Enoch Ronnin, the visionary Founder and Promoter of BRAFAI, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors who made the event a resounding success: Ministry of Health – Uganda, Uganda Airlines, GBK Classic Milk, Ugachick, Masco D’Lionheart Training Camp, and BWC – Blood Warriors Championship.

Their contributions amplified the reach and impact of the initiative, proving that partnerships can drive transformative change.

A Vision for 2025: Sports, Arts, and Life-Saving Action

Building on the success of the Rising Warriors event, BRAFAI is charting a bold path for 2025 with an ambitious plan to host 14 events across Uganda, reaching every corner of the nation.

From urban centers to rural communities, BRAFAI is set to harness the power of sports, music, film, and tourism to inspire, educate, and empower.

“We are committed to engaging young stars, teenagers, and youth through the universal language of sports and arts,” shared Ronnin.

“In every event, we will provide free Sickle Cell trait testing, counseling, and conduct life-saving blood donation drives. This is more than an event—it’s a mission to save lives and build informed, healthier families.”

Through this strategy, BRAFAI aims to:

  • Increase Sickle Cell awareness among couples, encouraging informed decision-making.
  • Reduce the number of children born with Sickle Cell Anaemia by promoting preventive testing.
  • Improve disease management, leading to higher survival rates and brighter futures for children living with Sickle Cell Anaemia.

The Impact: A Community of Survivors and Advocates

The impact of this initiative is already being felt. From couples choosing to test for the Sickle Cell trait to families accessing critical management information, the stories emerging from BRAFAI’s efforts underscore the urgency of this cause.

Each event becomes a beacon of hope—a place where lives are changed, and futures reimagined.

By combining the excitement of combat sports with meaningful action against Sickle Cell Anaemia, BRAFAI has created a unique platform that speaks to hearts and minds.

As the blood donation drives flow and the testing tents fill with eager participants, Uganda inches closer to a future where no child is lost to preventable conditions.

“This is not just BRAFAI’s mission—it’s a national and global call to action. Together, we can create a legacy of healthier communities, stronger families, and thriving youth,” Ronnin declared.
