Kitara keep purple patch going with win against Maroons

Kitara FC resurgence remained on the right course after picking yet another comprehensive win.

The Royals secured a 4-0 win over Maroons FC on Thursday in the game played at the Luzira Prisons Ground.

The win meant Kitara FC have won three of the last four games, drawing the other.

Jude Ssemugabi led the way with a brace while former Maroons FC forward Fred Amaku and defender Ronald Otti added a goal each.

Amaku opened the scores in the 9th minute, finishing off from Benjamin Nyakoojo’s cut back pass.

Two minutes later, Otti doubled the advantage for the visitors before Ssemugabi stretched the lead at the half hour mark.

Ssemugabi later put the icing on the cake with a stoppage-time goal to complete his brace.

The win takes Kitara FC to 11th position on 14 points while Maroons FC stay sixth on 16 points.
