Lugazi FC have of late embraced an attitude of never giving up and this has helped them to register points on the board.
The Leaders were at it again on Thursday as they salvaged a point against Mbarara City with a late equalizer.
In the game played at Lugazi Stadium in Najjembe, Mbarara City FC had taken the lead midway the second half through Latif Ssenkubuge.
However, Lugazi FC rallied back to snatch a point with Ali Arshavin Bayo finding the equalizer four minutes from time.
For the last three games, Lugazi FC have had to come from a goal down to force one-all draws against KCCA FC, SC Villa and now Mbarara City FC.
The run started against KCCA FC when Sadat Anaku gave the Kasasiro Boys the lead in the 48th minute but Derrick Mwanje levelled matters twelve minutes later.
Against SC Villa last week, Charles Lwanga fired the Jogoos into an early lead in the 14th minute but Lugazi FC got the equalizer through Abdul Kalanzi in the 55th minute.
Today, visitors Mbarara City took the lead through Ssenkubuge in the 58th minute but Bayo got the equalizer in the 86th minute.
The draw was the fifth for Lugazi FC in a row and extended their unbeaten run to eight games taking them to 12th place on 13 points same as Mbarara City who are a position below due to goal difference.
