2024 Africa Netball Cup:
Semi-finals (Friday, 13th December)
- South Africa Vs Zimbabwe – 1 PM (EAT)
- Uganda Vs Malawi – 2 PM (EAT)
Uganda She Cranes will face long term traditional rival Malawi in the second semi-final of the 2024 Netball Africa Cup in Namibia on Friday, 13th December at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund municipality.
The development comes after topping pool 2 following the completion of the group stages with two victories (over Namibia and Eswatini) and a loss to Zimbabwe.
Pre-tournament favourites South Africa led pool 1 and will face second placed Zimbabwe from pool 2.
Zimbabwe fell 42-43 to hosts Namibia on Thursday as South Africa humbled the defending champions Zambia 71-48.
Uganda had opened to a shocking 49-50 loss to Zimbabwe before recovering to beat Namibia 55-43 and a comprehensive victory over Eswatini 85-34.
The technical docket led by head coach Nelson Bogere will have to plan their tactics to the brim ahead of a physical Malawi opposition.
Almost all the players at their disposal have at least tested action and it will purely be down to the tactics employed to better the opponents.
Against Malawi, UK based goal-shooter Mary Nuba will need to replicate her old form and accurancy before the rings.
Miss reliable; Margaret Bagala in the center position is fulcrum for team Uganda as well as the rest of the players in wing attack, goalkeeping and wing defence.
The finals will come on Saturday, 14th December 2024 as the tournament curtains shall majestically be brought down.
